aux éditions Lambert-Lucas. Il s’inscrit dans le cadre des recherches
poursuivies par l’association ÉROFA (<i id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4293">Études pour la rationalisation de
l’orthographe française d’aujourd’hui</i>), animée par Claude Gruaz, dans le
prolongement des travaux sur l’orthographe du laboratoire HESO (<i id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4294">Histoire et
structure de l’orthographe</i>) du CNRS menés pendant de nombreuses années sous
la direction de Nina Catach.</span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4295"><span lang="FR"><br></span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4295"><span lang="FR" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4296">L’association EROFA rassemble des linguistes,
des enseignants et des usagers.</span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4297"><span lang="FR"><br></span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4297"><span lang="FR" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4298">Précédé d’une préface d’André Chervel et
d’une introduction théorique, ce dictionnaire de plus de 500 pages propose une
rationalisation de l’orthographe qui porte sur près d’un quart des 60 000 mots
du <i id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4299">Petit Robert</i>.</span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4300"><span lang="FR" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4301">Il a été élaboré grâce à des moyens
informatiques originaux sur la base de tests linguistiques et de règles de
production strictes. Les mots sont placés dans l’ordre alphabétique et indexés
selon la ou les règles appliquées à chacun.</span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4302"><span lang="FR"><br></span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4302"><span lang="FR" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4303">La rationalisation repose sur l’application
de trois règles simples :</span></div><div style="margin-left:35.45pt" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4304"><span lang="FR" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4305">1. la
simplification des consonnes doubles, ex. <i id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4306">consone</i> comme <i id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4307">consonantique</i>,
<i id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4308">nourir</i> comme <i id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4309">courir</i>, mais <i id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4310">accéder</i>, <i id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4311">ennui</i>, etc.,

comprendre, à mémoriser et à appliquer. </span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4332"><span lang="FR"><br></span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4332"><span lang="FR" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1519177971613_4333">Il appartient à chacun de choisir entre la
forme normée actuelle et la forme rationalisée, selon sa façon de concevoir
l’orthographe : ou bien comme un objet à jamais figé, contrairement à son
histoire, ou bien comme une forme d’expression qui répond aux besoins de la société
d’aujourd’hui. Accordons à chacun un espace de liberté, et, ainsi que le
préconise le sous-titre du dictionnaire, « Cessons de considérer comme faute ce
qui est logique ».Cependant, ne faisons pas de confusion : la liberté
n’est pas le laxisme, c’est la liberté d’écrire conformément au système
véritablement rationnel de l’orthographe française. C’est dans la voie de ce

claire et précise de ce que pourrait être une réforme profonde mais limitée de
