<p>The Department of French at Dalhousie University invites applications from junior academics for a Limited Term Appointment (10-month term), at the Assistant Professor level in the area of French linguistics, effective August 1, 2021. This position is subject
to budgetary approval.</p>

<p>Primary responsibilities will include :</p>
<p>-Teaching French language classes at the undergraduate level,</p>
<p>-Teaching linguistics courses at the undergraduate level,</p>
<p>-Teaching graduate seminars in linguistics,</p>
<p>-Serving on departmental committees.</p>
<p>Necessary qualifications, experience and skills:</p>
<p>-Doctorate in hand at the time of appointment</p>
<p>-Specialization in applied linguistics (teaching of French as a second language) would be an asset</p>
<p>-Experience teaching French as a second language</p>
<p>-Experience using language teaching technology</p>
<p>-Native or near-native fluency in French.</p>
