francophones en contextes minoritaires. Ainsi, les considérations linguistiques ont fait partie intégrante de son parcours, qu’il s’agisse de questions identitaires ou d’enjeux très pratiques quant aux effets des approches et outils pédagogiques préconisés
sur l’apprentissage et l’épanouissement d’élèves représentant toutes les dimensions de la diversité humaine. Elle utilisera le prisme du pluralisme pour partager certaines observations issues d’années de pratique réflexive critique en éducation et esquisser
de potentielles pistes d’enquête scientifiques en matière de justices et d’injustices linguistiques.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

du pluralisme une expérience vécue au quotidien dans leur contexte précis, et ce, dans l’optique de créer des sociétés inclusives et résilientes devant la peur et la haine.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span lang="FR" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Work Sans";color:#2D2D2C">Elle a dédié plus de 20 ans de sa vie au domaine de l’éducation publique – allant des programmes en
petite enfance jusqu’à la fin des études secondaires – ayant travaillé avec plusieurs conseils scolaires francophones et des conseils anglophones en Ontario dans le cadre de divers rôles, y compris en tant que travailleuse communautaire, enseignante, conseillère
pédagogique, consultante et à titre de leader dans divers postes systémiques. Au-delà de son travail au Canada, elle a contribué à la réalisation de diverses initiatives pédagogiques collaboratives à l’international avec des enseignants et d’autres leaders
du monde de l’éducation, notamment à Haïti, au Liban, en France, au Maroc et en République démocratique du Congo. Dans chacun de ses rôles, elle a toujours placé les questions d’avancement de la justice sociale et de l’épanouissement humain au cœur de son
travail et de ses apprentissages. Elle a délibérément développé sa propre pratique d’orientation critique en associant ses propres expériences et observations à des cadres conceptuels et pratiques issus d’un vaste éventail d’ouvrages et de recherches spécialisées,
et aux perspectives et savoirs des personnes aux prises avec des injustices systémiques, en commençant par ceux de ses élèves, de leur famille ainsi que ceux de ses collègues.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span lang="FR" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Work Sans";color:#2D2D2C">En tant qu’une des premières conseillères principales en matière d’équité, de droits de la personne
et de pluralisme au sein d’un conseil scolaire francophone au Canada, elle a été quotidiennement confrontée aux effets systémiques de la double minorisation des élèves et du personnel francophones issus de communautés historiquement marginalisées. En devenant
une formatrice certifiée dans l’approche Dare to Lead de Brené Brown, elle s’est davantage outillée pour plonger dans les dynamiques qui peuvent soit entraver, soit dynamiser l’accomplissement de changements organisationnels visant la création de systèmes
d’éducation plus équitables et pluralistes. Son parcours l’a également amenée à offrir des formations et à publier diverses ressources en matière de pratiques tenant compte des traumatismes pour le personnel enseignant et sur le leadership en éducation.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Work Sans";color:#2D2D2C">Nathalie Sirois began her teaching career in Ontario French immersion programs, before deciding to get involved with French-language minority school boards. Language matters
have thus been an integral part of her experience, whether questions of identity or very practical issues regarding the effects of recommended teaching approaches and tools on the learning and growth of students representing all aspects of our diversity. She
will use pluralism as the prism through which to share observations based on years of critical reflective practice in education and outline potential areas of scholarly inquiry regarding linguistic justice and injustice.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Work Sans";color:#2D2D2C">Nathalie leads the Global Centre for Pluralism’s efforts to support educators and system leaders in making pluralism a lived experience in their specific contexts with
a view to building inclusive societies resilient to fear and hate.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Work Sans";color:#2D2D2C">She spent over 20 years in K-12 public education, having worked with several French and some English school
boards in Ontario in a variety of roles, including community worker, teacher, instructional coach, consultant, and system leader. Beyond her work in Canada, Nathalie has contributed to a variety of collaborative learning initiatives with K-12 teachers and
other educational leaders internationally in contexts such as Haiti, Lebanon, France, Morocco, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In each role, she placed the practical issues of advancing social justice and human flourishing at the centre of her work and
learning. She intentionally developed her own critically-informed practice by weaving together her experiences and observations, insights offered from wide-ranging scholarly publications and research, and the grounded knowledge of people experiencing systemic
injustices – beginning with her students, their families, and her colleagues.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Work Sans";color:#2D2D2C">As one of the first Senior Advisors for Equity, Human Rights and Pluralism in a French-language school board
in Canada, Nathalie’s contended daily with the systemic effects of the double minoritization of francophone students and staff from historically marginalized communities. Becoming a Brené Brown certified Dare to Lead facilitator has further equipped her to
delve into the dynamics that either hinder or boost our ability to implement organizational change when seeking to create more equitable and pluralistic education systems. Her journey has also brought her to offer training and publish various resources on
trauma-informed practice for educators and on educational leadership.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
