striped, pronounced stripe-id

To me they have distinct uses, e.g.
I caught a /straIpd/ bass.
Racoons are gray, with /straIpId/ tails.
The cat was gray and kind of /straIpIdy/ looking.
/straIpId/ bass would sound incorrect, to me at least.
