Snickerdoodle; Duffy

Snickerdoodle has about 700 responses on Nexis.  Several people I've
encountered this morning have recognized it as a "cookie or something."
 Some said, "Isn't it German?"  One was from Pennsylvania the other
from Germantown in the Hudson valley.  Most said it was home-made
although one person suggested I look in the cookie aisle at the
supermarket.
