Here's still earlier information.  Vinton G. Cerf and Robert Kahn are said
to have used the term "Internet" in their paper, "A Protocol for Packet
Network Interconnection," IEEE Transactiions on Communication Vol. Com-22,
No. 5 (May 1974).
