So if "long before the 90s" means as long ago as the 50s, then it might
possibly be correct for Cheri, who is supposed to be from the Ozarks in
southern Missouri and at least in this production was acted with a Southern
accent, but not for Bo, who is from Montana, or for the counter girl (I
forget the character's name), who lives in the unidentified Kansas town
near Topeka where the play is set.
