Along with Jesse, I hope that those interested in the earliest dates of
relatively recent slang terms will visit Connie's book--and query her
directly. Since her data (like those in DARE) are collected methodically from
users, they are as reliable as any print citation. Indeed, since her
informants comment on the terms, we also frequently have an indication of
exactly what they mean.

     Sure, you can post it to the ADS list--or do anything else you want to
with
it.  Actually, in the glossary of my book, on page 185, the term is listed
with
the earliest date when I collected it (1976).  The dtaes given in the
glossary are
my earliest attestations--in case anyone wants to use it for that purpse.
