     The following item was recently drawn to my attention:

_California Technology Newsletter_ , edited by Michael Murphy,  January 7,
2000,  p.3:

   "George Miller, the Director of Research at American Express Investment
Management and Michael's first boss in the investment business, coined the
phrase:  "Don't confuse brains with a bull market."

    Is this statement accurate?  Has George Miller's role in coining this
phrase been acknowledged anywhere else?
