These remind me in a large way of Benjamin Franklin's "Way to Wealth" and, in general, of his proverbs and sayings. I've just done a quick search of the full text of "Way to Wealth" for key words in the provebs Barry posted, but they're not in there. I wonder if Poor Richard's Almanac is searchable somewhere?
