_CLUB CULTURE TERMS AND CONDITIONS_
Welcome to Slanguage, our monthly foray into pop (club) culture lexicon.
In the true spirit of ongoing dialogue (while speaking over a booming
soundsystem), packet switch any Slanguage nuggets of your own to us at
slanguage at planetrevolution.com. If we like them, they'll appear in an
upcoming issue of _Revolution_. Until then, sit back, relax and feel our
flow.

PROMOSEXUAL--someone who is obsessed with receiving free product in the mail,
especially music: CDs, vinyl and other assorted music company swag.
SCHMOOZIK--the music that's playing in a bar, in a restaurant or at a party
while people are networking.
POP TART--a beautiful woman who flaunts her natural assets to get ahead; also
tartine, tarty _adj_--the quality of being a party girl. (I always did like
chocolate pop tarts, and oreos, and apples. You can't eat anything anymore
without it being a reference to sex or race--ed.)
SNEAKER PHREAK(ER)--(a.k.a. "sneaker pimp") someone who is addicted to buying
athletic shoes.
CRACK MONKEY--a term used to describe someone who's had a late night of
partying; someone who spends an inordinate amount of time inebriated, as in
"That Jill, she's such a crack monkey"; also cracked out _adj_--wasted;
wiped-out, specifically after a late night of partying.
PLUR--a raver's acronym for "peace, love, unity and respect."
