query re: AAVE use in literature

I realize this query is not exactly in the main area of this list. I
have a feeling it has been discussed here within the past couple years.
If anyone has a good canned reply w/sources, or a pointer to a good
resource, I would appreciate if you would reply to the original author

I am writing a paper on the influence of AAVE,Ebonics,on African
American Literature today. I found your web page

very interesting. Would you please give me information on the influence
of that "language " on American literature?
        Are there any particular authors that write in that dialect or
language, and why, since some Black leaders consider it as demeaning
their educability? Could you send me more information on THAT
