"Monkey Wrench" in the MOA databases

    What does the online OED have for "monkey wrench"?  My BDE here at home
has 1858.
    A check on the Making of America database, with the date set to 1860,
turns up no hits.  The New York Public Library uses the MOA database from the
University of Michigan.
    But ah!  The Cornell MOA site is different!  Check out

    There you'll find it has SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN, and there's a cite from 19
September 1857, pg. 12, col. 1, "New Inventions," Wetherell's Monkey Wrench,
O. O. Wetherell, Danville, NY.
    Why does MOA make things so complicated by having two sites?
