The shandy that I was brought up on (more or less) was - and still is - half
Canadian beer and half gingerale. But I was told that this was really a
makeshift version of half British beer and half gingerbeer. I like the sound
of the lemonade version, though - if it ever warms up out here (B.C.), I'll
try it. And have any of you ever tried Calgary Red-eye? It's half beer and
half tomato juice. I know  it sounds revolting, but if the ingredients are
very cold, it's really quite good - and think of the Vitamin C you're getting!
