   Greetings from Sinaia, Romania.
I'm staying at the Palace Hotel--mentioned by Agatha Christie in MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS (I'm told). At dinner, the lights flickered for a second. Fortunately, no one was murdered.
Tomorrow I go to Bran Castle ("Dracula" castle)...I'm roomming with Romanian female gymnasts, but this rating system is killing me...Nah, I made that last part up.

HELLO, BUDAPEST!

This is a Romanian famous quotation that Fred Shapiro should be able to find easily on NEXIS.
The People's Palace in Bucharest (which I saw two days ago) is an impressive structure, supposedly the second-largest building after the Pentagon. The new government wanted to show it off Romanian pride to a famous man-of-the-world.
Michael Jackson addressed the Bucharest masses with the greeting:
   "HELLO, BUDAPEST!"
