"Politics" is how people get along--or don't. So I don't think "politics"
can be declared off-limits wherever people discuss people and issues.

My comments weren't intended to sway readers to vote one way or another.
Instead, I wanted to point out that occasional verbal goofs are not a sign
of intelligence or general ability to think, speak, lead.

Does even a consistent mispronunciation ("subliminal" or "nuclear") indicate
a disability, a broken brain, or a stubborn ego-centric refusal to correct
oneself? No. Do professionals working in the area of linguistics need to
speak up on this? Yes.

I think your definition of "politics" is too simple. There's much more to it, like government and public policy.

Comments on ANY verbal matters, said by ANYONE, are clearly issues for the ADS list. No holds barred.

What I hope will not be issues for this list are personal opinions or added comments on politics (my definition). That's what I object to. These are not only off-topic, they are an annoying distraction from the purpose of the list.
