Yes, Snagglepuss.

And behind Snagglepuss, I suspect the writers for the cartoon series were
somehow influenced by Gilbert and Sullivan's _Ruddigore_; this  has lots and
lots of Murgatroyds, most of them on the rather deceased side, and from the
'curse' at work, presumably in Hell. There might be an ancient witticism
buried here, something along the line of 'like a Murgatroyd in Hell' or the
some such, one that got reworked.
