minimal lobsters

        Larry Horns expresses surprise that lobsters could have once had a
place in a list of words signifying worthlessness.

        In late June, 1823, lobsters sold in the NYC market for 3 to 5
cents a pound, while beef cost 10 to 12 1/2/lb, veal from 5 to 7
cents/lb, and pork from 6 to 9 cents/lb.  See the Commercial
Advertiser, June 30, 1823, p. 2, col. 3.

        Just thought I'd clear this up.
