I live in the Inland Empire of Southern CA. At least every other year an
article comes out in the local newspapers trying to define the boundaries
(roughly west of Riverside/San Bernardino and east of LaVerne/Pomona). I
hear the term in everyday speech, many businesses use it in their titles,
and most weather forcasters on TV and radio use it. A source of information
is The Daily Bulletin, Ontario, CA.
