Sorry; I thought this one had already been more than discussed.  The
song is "Bad Moon Rising" and the original for the second quoted line
is "There's a bad moon on the rise".  And I'm afraid the actual
preceding line is really "There's a hurricane a-blowin'"--I just had
risin' on my mind.
