the Palo Alto Daily News carried an AP wire story that said that
bush

  used an obscenity that rhymes with the words "glass bowl"

but that was yesterday.  today the pieces on the editorial and
op-ed pages of the New York Times just seemed to assume that
readers knew what the epithet (according to maureen dowd, al
siegal eventually ruled that the appropriate term was "vulgarity")
was.
