My wife makes a great meat pie, full siz with a pastery crust on the top
only. But "pot pie" in my family (going back at least to my grandmother
b.1890) is an uncrusted casserole made from some meat, often ham, with
broad egg noodles and a white sauce. I have never encountered it outside
my family.
