Maid-Rites in Chicago?

I'm familiar with a Maid-Rite in Greenville, Ohio. The legend of its
sandwiches was that the meat had been soaked in pickle juice and beer; don't
know it that was true, but they did have an unusual flavor (and actually
pretty good, although I wouldn't want them every day).
The pork tenderloin sandwich someone mentioned has been widely available and
extremely popular in Indiana for as long as I can remember, although here is
commonly referred to as a "breaded tenderloin." I know that when I lived out
East you couldn't find such a sandwich, then I lived in West Virginia for
six years and thought it couldn't be found there, either, only to finally
discover they called it a "pork fritter."
