Computer Proverbs

My experience is early 60's and I had the impression that they had been use
for a while. About the same time, in an engineering class in college, an
instructor wrote RTFQ on the board and then turned beet red when he saw the
lone women in the class. A kinder, gentler time.

The only reason I pointed this out was the original poster didn't indicate
originated or prevalent in the computer world.
