LOUIS' MIXED DRINKS
WITH HINTS FOR THE CARE & SERVING OF WINES
by Louis Muckensturm
H. M. Caldwell Co., Boston & New York
1906

This is an attractive volume. There are no etymologies, however.
For those who plan to see the movie starring Nicole Kidman, from pg. 98:

MOULIN ROUGE
Take the juice of half an orange, and
   One-half a bar-glass of Grenadine.
Pour into a lemonade-glass with a couple of pieces of ice, and fill with Club soda.

   From pg. 71:

MOULIN ROUGE PUNCH
Fill a punch-bowl one-third full with sliced fruit and berries and cocktail cherries.
   One pint of Grenadine,
Two liqueur-glasses of Parfait Amour, and
Fizz with a pint of seltzer water.
Sufficient for three people.

For George W. Bush (or his daughter), from pg. 48:

YALE COCKTAIL
Take one liqueur-glass of Creme d'Yvette,
Two liqueur-glasses of dry gin, and
   One dash of Maraschino.
Fill the mixing-glass with ice; stir well and strain into a cocktail-glass. Serve with a pitted olive, or three blueberries on a toothpick.
