I think that the Temple defense is a "match-up zone", which is a zone
defense at the perimeter that incorporates man-to-man assignments when
someone gets inside.  But please check me on this.  I may have slipped in my
March Madness.

Might lead to some confusion.  "Match-up" is used widely for a type
of zone defense (the antithesis of man-on-man or man defense) used
e.g. by John Chaney at Temple.
