Women of Cover.

Bush said 'women of cover' twice in his press conference. The first time, I
thought he had mangled 'women of color'. The second time, I started
thinking, and speculated he was talking about veiled Muslim women. CNN later
suggested this was indeed the case.

I confess I have never been able to take 'women of color' too seriously; it
sounds too portentiously-pretentiously politically correct. I confess the
same about 'women of cover'. Why not just say 'veiled women' or the such.

A word of the year candidate perhaps?
