Origins of 'all git-out'

I can't find anything decisive on this. Clearly "[all] get-out" is
essentially a euphemism for "hell". I might speculate that "all" = "hell"
(as in "all-fired" = "hell-fire[d]"), but older citations tend to omit the
"all".
