Related item re the regional variation of the pron for _greasy_:

Rush Limbaugh ran ads on his show a while back for a cleaning product called
"Greased Lightning". Rush did the voiceovers himself. Now he hails from
Cape Girardeau, MO, which is "GREE-zee" territory. Rush called the stuff
"GREEZ'D Lightning" in the earliest ads he did, when the product was new.
Later, he was saying "GREES'D Lightning". Just a guess, but I'll bet the
manufacturer heard him and told him that they didn't want it said that way,
with the "Z". And Rush would always give way to a sponsor.
