It is either "quell'" or "quell" in scripts and quotes found on the web and
pronounced /kwEl/. I was unaware of the French "quelle" and the GenX slang
terms "QFD" and "QFM." Although this usage doesn't quite fit that pattern.
Not only is the spelling and pronunciation off, but the grammar "She's
quell' Fiona" seems odd if the French is the source.

My guess now is either the writer butchered the slang/French term or got
cute with a literary term. Either way, it's probably a one-time usage. If I
become ambitious over the long weekend I'll write the show and ask what the
intent was.
