As Pope John XXIII lived down the ignominy of John XXII.  Over
centuries had passed between the unpopular John XXII and the
"Antipope" John XXIII before *our* John XXIII, Angelo Roncalli, was
brave enough to rehabilitate the name in the late 1950's and early
1960's.
