The abbreviation (initialism) DUI is an entry in The Barnhart
Dictionary Companion (Vol. 7.2, c. 1992).

DWI was treated in The Second Barnhart Dictionary of New English (c.
1980). Both are noted in The Barnhart New-Words Concordance
(originally published in 1994).

DWI was entered in 9,000 Words (c. 1983); it also appears in the major
college dictionaries.
