   This language ain't kosher!

6 October 1929, NEW YORK TIMES, pg. XX6:
There are a number of talkative ballplayers in the big leagues who are humorously referred to as "barbers." According to Leo Durocher, diminutive Yankee shortstop, the colloquialism dates back to an old Roman expression, "Omnia notum tonsoribus," which Durocher says, is pig Latin for "Barbers know everything and talk plenty."

2 August 1931, NEW YORK TIMES, "The Great Allure of Contract Bridge," pg. SM4:
Too long has the four-handed conversation of the contract table--there are about thirty systems, about half a dozen of which are well known--resembled a jabbering in classical Latin, pig Latin, modern Italian and pidgin English.
