verb "to airport"?

As used on "Seventh Heaven", a "family" sitcom on WB. The
perpetrator is Ruthie Camden, an annoyingly precocious
pre-adolescent. She accuses her sister's boyfriend, who just flew
out to California from Buffalo, of having "airported" her when he
presents her with some packaged perfume. She explains that he
obviously forgot to buy her a (real) present, and tried rectifying it
with a gift purchased at the airport. Something we've all done, I'm
sure, but I never thought of creating a verb (even a zero-derived
one) for the occasion.
