New York (OED 1714); New England (OED 1638)

My understanding is the OED does not include geographic names unless they
are used attributively. The 1714 cite is for "New York Biscuit," (one of
Barry's contributions?), not for the name of the city itself. Similarly the
1638 cite is for "New England men."
