Hijab (pre-1000 or 1970s?)

But _hijab_ is in AHD4 (with a picture, too) and Longman Register of
New Words 2 (c. 1990).  More significant to me is the appearance of
_hijab_ in Google News (47 hits for the last 30 days).  The number from
Google (not news) is interesting but is there a strategy for expunging
duplicates?
