"Ouzo" is a Greek brandy. OED and Merriam-Webster have 1898. The best I could find right now is only a year earlier. August 1897, CENTURY ILLUSTRATED MAGAZINE (American Periodical Series and Making of America-Cornell), start page 483: ...brought us first liqueur (_ouzo_), and then black coffee, with material for cigarettes.
