Bambi has a scene in which lovesick young animals are described as being "twitterpated" (the usual spelling), and there is a song of the same name and date (1942) by Frankie Masters & His Orchestra. Probably the song was written for the movie but not used.

Subject: query about <twitipated>

Can you help me answer this query?

---------- Forwarded message ----------
I have searched offline, online and through direct access to many online
resources. I can detect that the word "twitipated" has a recognized usage
in a few places, but can't locate an actual definition and etymology ref. I
was told by a user that it originates (for her) from the movie "Bambi" as
what I might call a euphemism for a minor madness like lovesick critters in
Spring. Something like "lovesick" is in the usage I have encountered, but
not in any online mention.

Thanks,
Bethany
