Google trademark concerns

Let's not overlook Roger Shuy's very useful book, _Linguistic Battles in
Trademark Disputes_ (Palgrave 2002). As he points out (pp. 12-13 and
elsewhere), lawyers sometimes control language policy. Some recent
editions of commercial dictionaries define some entries only as
trademarked products (Kleenex, Bandaid in MWCD and AHD). There is a large
issue about final authority.

See AHD 4th:

                 Kleenáex
A trademark used for a soft facial tissue.

etc.
