This is a long-time military jargon term. We had FARPs back when I was in
the army in the late-80s.

CNN reporters with the 101st Airborne and commentators on that network have
been adding an extra R--FARRP, calling it a Forward Air Rearming and
Refueling Point. The WSJ uses the form given in official DoD dictionaries
and glossaries.
