A friend sent me this query.

Anyone out there who can help him?

You can send the replies to hpst at earthlink.net and I will get them to him since he is too busy eating turkey today to sign up for the ADS list although I made him swear to do so in the near future.

Dear friends,

Would anyone have an idea of how to use the word 'raconteur' as part of Homo--, in the sense of 'man the tale-teller' (Homo Raconteur?), as a parallel with things like Homo Habilis (handy man) or Homo Sapiens (cognitive man), Homo Ludens (playful man) and so on. This is in connection with some data I've been dealing with. Thanks, Robert
