shining knob

Tonight, on the TV show, Two and a Half Men, "Charlie" notes the
possibility that his brother may want to "have his knob shined by a
waitress" or words to that effect. (I wasn't paying close attention
till I heard "knob shined.") Apparently, even if CBS's censors are
aware of HDAS, they're unable to bridge the semantic gap between
"polishing knob" and "shining knob."
