It's probably not what you're looking for, but constructed/planned languages
quickly pop to mind.  Esperanto begat Ido, etc.; Lojlan begat Logban... there
are more.  If that *is* what you're looking for, let me know and I can comb
the files for relevant info.

Other than that, what about using pidgins or creoles?
