Punning-on-brand-names game

I don't know this game from first-hand experience. In fact, I don't
even know what its name is or even whether it had one. In any case,
here's an example from 1954 phonograph record. (Hence, a couple of the
brand names may be unfamiliar to younger folk.)

Listen here, and don't you forget!
Life's no good without a cigarette!

You know my Philip Morris
Jumped out my pocket,
Got on a Camel,
And rode across a Chesterfield.
There he found some Old Gold.
They say it was just a Lucky Strike.
Now they all lay it back
And play it Kool.
Yes, play it Kool!
