C. S. Lewis referred to this speech error quite pointedly in _That Hideous
Strength_, the last volume of the Perelandra trilogy. He was, of course,
very much a Christian writer, perhaps the only author of explicitly
Christian fantasy whose works are appreciated and enjoyed by a large
proportion of the general fantasy audience.
