There's a great scene in the movie "UHF" (1989) in which Michael Richards
(played Kramer on Seinfeld) is hosting a kid's show. They play a game
called "Drink from the Fire Hose". A boy sits with his mouth open, Richards
turns on the hose, and the kid gets knocked across the room.

Toronto Star, 12 Oct 1986
"Skantze also believes that a combination of artificial intelligence and
expert computer systems will relieve a commander from trying to drink from a
fire hose of intelligence data before making decisions."

New York Times, Aug 18, 1963
"Undergraduates, withstanding a ferocious assault of knowledge and new
ideas, say that "it's like taking a drink from a fire hose." "
