"Cushy-cow" is in the Scots dictionary on-line -- http://www.dsl.ac.uk/dsl/ -- along with "cushie" and "kussi" which seem to be along the same line: a nickname for a cow or a call to a cow. Offhand, I doubt any connection to "cushy job". -- Doug Wilson
