Adapted from "Nine Inch Will Please a Lady", Robert Burns, in _The Merry
Muses of Caledonia_. The above version is from an old Elektra LP, _Love
Songs of Many Lands_, Theodore Bikel and Cynthia Gooding, evidently
translated from the Lallans. The corresponding original, (
), goes:

But wear fa' the laithron doup
        ["But woe betide the lazy rump']
And may it ne'er be thriving,
It's not the length that makes me loup
But it's the double drivin.
