It also pops up as the last couple of a quatrain, as I was just
reminded by Charlie Poole's rendition of "If the River Was Whiskey",
recorded Jan. 23, 1930 (Charlie Poole and the North Carolina
Ramblers, on County CD-3508):

I was born in Alabama,
Raised in Tennessee,
If you don't like my peaches
Don't shake my tree.
