1993 William H. LaBarge _Road to Gold_  (N.Y.: HarperPaperbacks) 77   I recalled an old saying my grandfather had told me when I was young [early '60s?]. He used to say, "Matt, there are three commodities you can judge solely by smell. A good cigar, a fine woman, and a great car."
